CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) — As we head into the last couple of days of 2024, we are expecting more mild temperatures across the Carolinas before cooler temperatures move in starting on New Year’s Day. After the stormy weather today, our only real chance for showers will come on New Year’s Eve ahead of the cold front.
As for tonight and your Monday, our weather will continue to improve this evening as the storm system clears out of the Carolinas with overnight lows dipping down into the mid-40s. Monday will be a much more tranquil day with mostly sunny skies along with temperatures that will continue to stay on the warm side with highs in the mid-60s.
Tuesday will be more of the same during the morning hours, but clouds will be on the increase later in the day as our next cold moves in. A couple of showers are possible the night of New Year’s Eve, but don’t cancel your plans as any showers will be more of a nuisance. New Year’s Day with be noticeably cooler with highs in the mid-50s with even cooler temperatures expected for the rest of the week.
Next weekend even more cold air is on the way with highs likely staying in the mid-40s with multiple freezes expected for the region. In the meantime, enjoy the mild last couple of days in 2024! Have a great week!
