Adam Gunderson Obituary, Death; – The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office has disclosed the identity and cause of death of the individual who was fatally shot by Vancouver Police in a Safeway parking lot.
The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on December 4 at 13719 SE Mill Plain Blvd. As reported by the Vancouver Police Department, officers were engaged with a man when a physical altercation ensued. During this confrontation, the man allegedly brandished a firearm, prompting one of the officers to discharge their weapon.
On Tuesday, the Medical Examiner’s office confirmed the individual as 45-year-old Adam Gunderson, with the cause of death attributed to “multiple gunshot wounds to the head.” In line with established procedures, the officer involved in the incident, along with two officers who witnessed the event, have been placed on critical incident leave. The Vancouver Police Department has informed the Washington State Office of Independent Investigations (OII), which will carry out an independent inquiry into the shooting.
