William Nathaniel Robinson Obituary, Death; – Maine authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the murder of a man from Virginia, whose remains were discovered in the woods by a hunter last week.
The individual, later identified as 34-year-old William Nathaniel Robinson from Austinville, Virginia, was found on December 3 near the Schmid Land Preserve along Old County Road in Edgecomb, according to a statement from the Maine State Police. The hunter reported the discovery by calling 9-1-1 at approximately 9:30 a.m., prompting a response from state police.
An autopsy revealed that Robinson died from a gunshot wound, and the case has been classified as a homicide, as confirmed by law enforcement. It was noted that the victim had been residing at a home in Edgecomb prior to his death.
Police stated on Monday that there is currently no known threat to public safety. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Robinson’s murder remains active, according to police officials.
