Mahiat Hossen Obituary, Death; – The individual who tragically lost her life after being hit by a garbage truck last week has been named. Mahiat Hossen, a 21-year-old resident of Bellerose, was fatally injured on Friday morning on Old Country Road in proximity to Glen Cove Road, according to police reports.
Authorities indicated that Hossen sustained a “catastrophic injury” to both her head and body, leading to her being pronounced dead at the scene. Currently, no charges have been brought against anyone involved. The driver of the garbage truck stayed at the location following the incident, as reported by officials.
