Alisha Brooks Obituary, Death; – Toronto police have confirmed the identity of the woman who was fatally shot last night in the vicinity of Danforth and Jones avenues. In a press release issued on the afternoon of Monday, December 9, authorities named 34-year-old Alisha Brooks, a resident of Toronto, as the deceased.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Jones Avenue and Hunter Street, located south of Danforth Avenue, at 6:56 p.m. on Sunday, December 8. Upon their arrival, they discovered a woman with gunshot wounds. She was immediately transported to a hospital but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. A man was apprehended at the scene, and a firearm was recovered.
In the press release issued this afternoon, police announced that Aaron Shea, 33, also from Toronto, has been charged with first-degree murder in relation to the incident.
Authorities indicated that Brooks and Shea were acquainted, although they did not provide further details regarding the nature of their relationship.
