Tyler S Newton ARRESTED; – A man is confronting multiple charges following allegations of raping a victim several times, confining her in a bathroom, and issuing threats to kill her last week in Nashville, as detailed in an arrest report. According to the report, on December 5, 20-year-old Tyler S. Newton is said to have followed a woman to the Fiddlers Inn located on Music Valley Drive.
While at the motel, Newton is accused of raping the victim that evening and again the following day. On December 6, he allegedly entered the victim’s home without permission, subsequently restraining her and locking her in a bathroom.
While confined in the bathroom, Newton reportedly prevented her from using her cell phone. He is also accused of threatening her life, claiming he would kill her and “use her as target practice,” as stated in the report.
Law enforcement officials indicated that during a monitored phone conversation with Newton, he confessed to raping the victim, locking her in the bathroom, and making threats against her life. The report also mentions that he sent a text to the victim, acknowledging the assault.
Newton is facing numerous charges, including aggravated rape, aggravated burglary, and aggravated kidnapping, among others. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 11.
