Brian McKenzie Bourne Obituary, Death; – Stanford Police are conducting an investigation into a fatal incident involving a pedestrian. Captain Ryan Kirkpatrick of the Stanford Police Department reported that a vehicle struck a pedestrian on US-27 near the FiveStar at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Saturday.
The pedestrian received initial treatment at the scene before being transported to Fort Logan Hospital, where they subsequently succumbed to their injuries. The Lincoln County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the victim as 28-year-old Brian McKenzie Bourne, who was pronounced dead shortly before midnight on Saturday.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and Stanford Police have indicated that alcohol is not suspected to have played a role in the incident. According to the coroner, the driver was apprehended at the scene due to an outstanding warrant, although their identity has not yet been disclosed.
