Gerone L Evans Obituary, Death; – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is currently conducting an investigation into a two-vehicle accident that took place in Cherokee County on Alabama 35 on Wednesday, November 27. As reported by ALEA, a collision occurred between a 1994 Nissan pickup and a 2023 Nissan Altima, resulting in critical injuries to the driver of the Nissan pickup truck.
The driver, identified as 58-year-old Gerone L. Evans from Summerville, Georgia, was ejected from his vehicle during the incident. ALEA noted that Evans was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
He was subsequently transported to Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Nissan Altima, 55-year-old Debra J. Mitchell, along with four passengers, including two toddlers, were all taken to a local hospital for medical attention. ALEA is continuing its investigation into this incident.
