New York City, NY – The New York City Police Department (NYPD) has issued a call for public assistance in identifying a man suspected of forcibly touching a 16-year-old girl on an MTA B6 bus last month. The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, around 2:00 PM near the intersection of Ocean Parkway and Avenue J within the jurisdiction of the 66th Precinct.
According to the police report, the victim was disembarking from the bus when the suspect, described as a male with a light complexion, grabbed her buttocks. The suspect reportedly remained on the bus as it continued its route. Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported from the incident.
The suspect is described as follows:
- Gender: Male
- Age: Between 40 and 50 years old
- Height: Approximately 5 feet 9 inches
- Build: Around 170 pounds
- Hair: Curly salt and pepper hair
- Clothing: Last seen wearing a black and yellow button-down shirt and carrying a black backpack.
The NYPD’s Transit Special Victims Squad is currently handling the investigation. They are urging anyone with information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspect to come forward.
