QUEENS, N.Y. — An off-duty New York City Department of Education employee was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Queens. Marlee Wollman, 31, was taken into custody at around 3:35 p.m. on Oct. 9 within the confines of the 108th Precinct/Transit District 20.
Wollman, who works for the Department of Education, has been charged with theft of services after jumping a turnstile. Police said she had an open and active prior warrant, but did not say what that warrant was for.
The NYPD has not released further information about the incident or provided additional comments on the arrest. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
