UTICA, NY- The Utica Police Department, in collaboration with Ilion Police Department, arrested Michael Jenkins, 25, of Utica on Tuesday in connection with a Grand Larceny investigation.
Ilion Police had reported the theft of a wallet and credit cards from a vehicle in Ilion. The department noted that the cards were later used by the suspect at Walmart. Through their investigation, Ilion PD identified Jenkins as the suspect and contacted Utica Police for assistance.
Upon locating Jenkins, authorities took him into custody without any incident. Jenkins is now facing charges brought against him for multiple offenses.
He has been charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fourth degree. Additionally, he faces two counts of Identity Theft in the second degree.
