MONMOUTH COUNTY, N.J.— Tolkien, a 6-year-old cat, was heartbreakingly left behind by his former owner but remains hopeful for a second chance at love and companionship. After being found meowing and pawing at the door of his previous home, Tolkien has made his way to the Monmouth County SPCA, where he’s waiting for a new family to welcome him.
Despite being FIV-positive, which only affects his immune system, Tolkien is a healthy and affectionate cat who loves pets, snuggles, and curling up on laps.
The SPCA encourages those looking for a loving companion to stop by between 12-5 p.m. today to meet this brave and resilient feline. For more information on Tolkien and other adoptable cats, visit here.
