Washington, D.C. – A suspect has been arrested in connection with an assault involving a dangerous weapon that occurred in Southwest.
On Sunday, September 22, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to reports of an assault in the 4600 block of South Capitol Street, Southwest. Upon arrival, they found the victim, who reported being assaulted by multiple suspects and struck with a gun after refusing to purchase marijuana. The suspects fled the scene, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
On Friday, October 4, 28-year-old Markell Clark of Southeast, D.C., was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).

A reward of up to $10,000 is currently offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for violent crimes in the District of Columbia.
