Monday morning commuters in New Jersey are facing numerous delays and incidents across major roadways. On I-295 northbound, a crash north of Exit 26S in Bellmawr has shut down two left lanes, causing significant slowdowns. Another crash on NJ-55 northbound near Exit 53 in Mantua Township has closed the left shoulder, adding a five-minute delay.
Drivers on the George Washington Bridge are experiencing 30- to 40-minute delays in both directions due to volume, and the Lincoln Tunnel is seeing similar delays, with a 30-minute wait for eastbound traffic. Additionally, heavy volume on the Garden State Parkway northbound is causing a two-and-a-half-mile backup between Lakewood Township and Brick Township. Travelers are advised to use caution and prepare for longer commutes this morning.
Elsewhere, the New Jersey Turnpike is facing delays due to a disabled vehicle in Edison Township, blocking one right lane near Interchange 10.
Delays on NJ-42 northbound are also slowing traffic from Deptford Township to Bellmawr due to volume, while southbound delays on NJ-21 in Newark are creating backups of 5-10 minutes near Chester Avenue.
Meanwhile, moderate traffic is reported on Route 22, I-287, and the Goethals Bridge westbound, though lanes remain open.
Motorists should remain alert and check for updated advisories as traffic incidents continue to develop throughout the morning.
