PHILADELPHIA — A 17-year-old girl was killed and two others were injured in a shooting early Sunday in the 600 block of Franklin Street, police said. Officers responded to a report of a person with a gun at 12:39 a.m. and found three victims at the scene.
The 17-year-old victim sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at 12:56 a.m. at Jefferson Hospital. A 21-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh and is listed in stable condition. A 16-year-old girl was critically injured with gunshot wounds to the face, neck, and arm, but is in stable condition, according to authorities.
The suspects were described as four masked individuals wearing dark clothing. They fled in a dark blue BMW, driven by an unidentified person, police said. The vehicle was last seen heading south on 8th Street toward Spring Garden Street.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
