NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — A man was arrested Monday night after police located a stolen vehicle near the intersection of Huguenot and Division Streets, according to a statement from the New Rochelle Police Department.
Christopher Tejeda-Santiago was driving the vehicle, which had been reported stolen earlier in the day from Hanover Township, Pennsylvania. The vehicle was allegedly taken by Tejeda-Santiago during a “test drive.”
During a search of the vehicle, officers found multiple credit cards and cell phones that did not belong to Tejeda-Santiago, as well as a loaded ammunition magazine for a 9mm handgun. However, no handgun was recovered at the scene.
Authorities did not disclose further details on potential charges as the investigation continues.
