BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A man was assaulted following a traffic collision in Brooklyn on Friday afternoon, according to police. The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. near East 17 Street and Chestnut Avenue, where a 35-year-old man operating a three-wheeled vehicle collided with a two-wheeled scooter driven by an unidentified individual.
After the crash, the scooter operator refused to exchange vehicle information. Police say the individual then struck the victim multiple times in the face with a closed fist, causing a minor laceration to the right side of the victim’s face.
Following the assault, the suspect removed the license plate from the victim’s vehicle and fled northbound on East 17 Street on the scooter. The victim was treated at the scene for his injuries.
Authorities described the suspect as a male with a slim build and light complexion, with long brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and black shirt.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
