This $20 purchase led to her unexpected win of the second-tier prize.
The Alexandria resident shared that she prefers crossword-themed scratch-offs and initially believed she had won $1,000. She had discovered seven words on the first puzzle of the scratch-off. However, she realized there was more to the win when she scratched off the puzzle’s multiplier box, revealing a 50X multiplier. This discovery confirmed her $50,000 prize.
The winner remarked on the swift change in her fortune. While at the casino, she had expressed dissatisfaction with her performance to friends and family. Later, she excitedly informed them about her $50,000 win with the scratch-off ticket.
