OMS RIVER, NJ- Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Keith Hahn, 46, of Toms River, was charged on Tuesday with multiple serious offenses. These charges include Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, Kidnapping, Luring, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The charges are in connection with an event that reportedly occurred in Toms River on September 29.
A 14-year-old female contacted the Manchester Township Police Department on September 29, reporting an incident of sexual assault by an unknown male.
An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit along with Toms River Township Police found the teenager was walking along Route 70 in Manchester Township when she became lost.
A man in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee offered her assistance, which she accepted, requesting a ride to an animal shelter in Toms River.
Instead, she was driven to a different location in Toms River where the assault took place. She later escaped the vehicle at a Walmart and went home and police were notified.
