Cumberland, MD – The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Maryland State Police – Barrack C, has initiated a campaign to address open and active warrants, resulting in the apprehension of several individuals.
On Tuesday, October 1, Jeremiah Daniel Martin, 40, of Cumberland, was served a District Court Bench Warrant for Violation of Probation. Martin’s original charges included two counts of Assault-2nd Degree and CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana, for which he previously served a six-month jail term followed by three years of supervised probation. He is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center pending a bail review.
Dwight David Wilhelm Jr, 24, of Cresaptown, was arrested on a District Court warrant for Assault-1st Degree, two counts of Assault-2nd Degree, and Malicious Destruction of Property valued under $1,000. Wilhelm has been released after posting a $7,500 percentage bond, equivalent to 10% cash.
Charles Bret Parker Jr, 43, of Cumberland, was detained on six Circuit Court Bench Warrants for Failure to Appear.
