PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Teige Harden, 34, of Pittsfield, was arrested on Friday, September 27, following a domestic incident that led to numerous serious charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and drug trafficking. The Pittsfield Police Department took Harden into custody after responding to the domestic dispute, during which he allegedly assaulted a family or household member.
Harden, who was found in possession of a handgun and approximately 106 grams of cocaine at the time of his arrest, faces the following charges:
- Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (handgun)
- Possession of a Firearm in Felony
- Improper Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
- Threat to Commit a Crime (Murder)
- Assault and Battery on a Family/Household Member, Subsequent Offense
- Trafficking in Cocaine (more than 100 grams, less than 200 grams)
Harden was arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court on Monday, September 30. The judge ordered Harden to be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. Second District Attorney Kelly Kemp represented the Commonwealth during the proceedings.
Authorities noted that Harden has an extensive criminal history in Virginia, spanning from 2008 to 2021.
