Washington, D.C. – The tragic death of a child in Northwest, D.C. is being investigated as a homicide.
On Saturday, September 28, at approximately 10:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of a child in cardiac arrest at a residence in the 3700 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. The child was transported by D.C. Fire and EMS to an area hospital, where lifesaving measures failed and the child was pronounced dead.
The child has been identified as 1-year-old Journee Moore of Upper Marlboro, MD. On Sunday, September 29, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that the child suffered multiple blunt force injuries, ruling the manner of death a homicide.
