CUMBERLAND, Md. — An 18-year-old man was arrested Sunday evening after allegedly assaulting two juveniles on Pear Street, according to the Cumberland Police Department.
Officers responded to a call at approximately 6:45 p.m. and were informed that Alex Brady Unger, of Cumberland, was intoxicated and had assaulted the two minors. A witness provided cell phone footage showing Unger attacking one of the juveniles, police said.
Officers observed minor injuries on the victims. Based on the video and their investigation, police applied for charges, and a warrant was issued for Unger’s arrest.
Unger was located and arrested without incident. He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center for processing and later appeared before a District Court Commissioner. Unger was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
Unger faces two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of intoxicated endangerment.
