It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Landon Tyler Clewell, a cherished son, brother, and friend, who departed this life on March 14, 2025, at the age of 23. Born on August 9, 2001, in Wimberley, Texas, Landon’s vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Landon’s early years in Wimberley were filled with a passion for sports and community involvement. He attended Wimberley High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically. As a member of the Wimberley Varsity Football Team, Landon showcased his talent and teamwork, earning the respect and admiration of his coaches and peers. His commitment to excellence on the field was matched by his dedication in the classroom, embodying the true spirit of a student-athlete.
Upon graduating high school in 2019, Landon answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. Demonstrating exceptional aptitude and determination, he specialized in cyber intelligence, a field critical to national security. Landon’s work, much of which remained classified, was instrumental in safeguarding the nation’s interests. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated and skilled professional, whose contributions significantly enhanced the Navy’s cyber capabilities.
Tragically, Landon’s promising life was cut short due to an accident. The community of Wimberley, along with his Navy family, mourns the loss of such a bright and dedicated individual. His departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his legacy of service, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew him
Landon is survived by his loving parents, siblings, extended family, and a host of friends and colleagues who will forever cherish his memory.
