Downtown Toms River just got a major glow-up with the arrival of Pho 34, the newest addition to the corner of Main Street and Washington Street. If you’re in the mood for something that hits all the right comfort-food notes while also being packed with fresh, vibrant flavors, you’ve got to stop by.
What’s on the Menu?
Pho 34 is serving up classic Vietnamese cuisine with a twist, and their menu doesn’t play around. Their signature bowls are chef’s kiss, like the Hot and Spicy Beef, which will light up your tastebuds in all the best ways. Or, if you’re feeling extra hungry, the Super Bowl is basically a pho-lover’s dream, with rich broth, tender beef, and noodles that never seem to end.
Feeling something lighter? The Fresh Summer Roll and Fresh Vegetarian Rolls are refreshing, crunchy, and just perfect for balancing out those bolder flavors. And if you’re riding the plant-based wave, you’ll definitely want to give the Vegetable Stir-Fried a try.
The Vibe
Pho 34 is all about that casual but stylish dining experience. It’s the kind of place where you can show up with friends for a laid-back dinner, but still feel like you’re treating yourself to something a little more elevated. Plus, with vegetarian and gluten-free options galore, it’s super easy to find something for everyone.
And can we talk about the portions? According to the locals, you better show up hungry because Pho 34 does not skimp on servings. Big bowls, big flavors, and big chances that you’ll leave with leftovers (unless you’re tempted to finish it all in one go, no judgment).
The restaurant, originally based in Matawan, opened on September 9th and is planning another location in South Jersey this year. Before becoming Pho-34, the building housed Crave, Meanbeam, Java Joint and prior to that it was a restaurant and catering hall on the second floor.
