STAFFORD, Va.—A series of incidents involving alcohol offenses, DUI cases, larceny, and vandalism were reported by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy B.E. Vaughn was at Weis on Garrisonville Road on Saturday at 3:58 p.m., addressing parking lane violations when he discovered a young man purchasing a large amount of alcohol. The suspect, found to be under 21 with a fake driver’s license, admitted he bought the alcohol for himself and another underage individual. Charges included possession of a fictitious license, unlawful purchase of alcohol, forgery, and purchasing alcohol for an unauthorized person. The suspect was released on personal recognizance by the magistrate.
At McDonald’s on Chatham Heights Road on Friday at 12:51 a.m., First Sergeant D.W. Fetterolf observed a GMC failing to maintain its lane. Following a traffic stop, the driver, who showed signs of intoxication and admitted to consuming alcohol, was charged with DUI and traffic lane violations. The driver was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,000 secured bond.
