Hanover, MD – Authorities responded to a reported robbery and assault incident on Wednesday at approximately 4:35 p.m. at the Cinemark in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Mall.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that two white male victims, aged 19 and 18, were involved in the altercation. One victim reported his wallet was stolen while the other was physically assaulted by three males. The confrontation originated from a verbal dispute during a movie, where one of the victims directed racial epithets at the suspects, leading to the subsequent incidents.
The assaulted victim was transported to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment. The suspects had fled the scene by the time officers arrived.
