The Atlantic City Police Department arrested seven individuals in connection with a narcotics investigation. On September 3, 2024, detectives from the Special Investigations Section wrapped up an investigation into drug distribution along the 2500 and 3000 blocks of Pacific Avenue. As a result of the investigation, detectives executed three court-authorized search warrants and arrested seven individuals. They recovered over 55 grams of cocaine, 62 bags of heroin, prescription pills, and drug distribution paraphernalia.
Detective Christopher Dodson led the investigation, with assistance from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the FBI’s Atlantic City Safe Streets Task Force. Among those arrested were Mikelle Jones, 36, of Philadelphia, who was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS), possession with intent to distribute, distribution within 1,000 feet of a school, and money laundering. Kareem Singletary, 20, of Philadelphia, faced similar charges, including possession of CDS and possession of paraphernalia. Kareem Spence, 21, of Atlantic City, was charged with two counts of possession and intent to distribute CDS, money laundering, and endangering the welfare of a child. All three were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Others arrested included Destiny Lavidu-Santana, 21, of Atlantic City, and Sani Morgan, 20, also of Atlantic City. Both were charged with various CDS offenses, with Morgan facing additional charges related to child endangerment and money laundering. Carol Myers, 53, of Pleasantville, and a 16-year-old from Atlantic City were also arrested on CDS-related charges. These four individuals were released on a summons with future court dates.
Authorities remind the public that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Anyone with information about narcotics distribution is encouraged to contact the Atlantic City Police Department Special Investigations Unit or submit an anonymous tip via tip411.
