NEWARK, N.J. — Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 24-year-old Keymani Lott, who is wanted for questioning in connection with an armed robbery that took place on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
The robbery occurred around 11 p.m. near Miller Street and Brunswick Street in Newark. According to police, the male victim had driven to the Central Ward to pick up a woman he knew, who requested to be taken to a gas station in Irvington. While at the gas station, the woman spoke with a man inside the mini-mart before returning to the victim’s vehicle. She then asked to be driven to a relative’s home on Brunswick Street in Newark.
After arriving at Brunswick Street, the victim and woman waited for her relative, who did not respond to several phone calls. The victim’s vehicle was then approached by four males who opened the front doors and robbed him at gunpoint. The suspects took the victim’s cell phone, car keys, and wallet containing $70 in cash, debit cards, and other personal items. The woman’s belongings were not taken, and she was picked up by two males in a pickup truck shortly after the robbery.
The woman later returned to the scene to retrieve her cell phone, which had been left in the victim’s vehicle. One of the suspects matched the description of the man seen speaking with the woman inside the Irvington gas station mini-mart.
Keymani Lott is described as a 24-year-old woman with a light-brown complexion, standing 5’5” tall, weighing 260 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Detectives are seeking her for questioning in connection with the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Newark Police Department.
