WHITE MARSH, Md. — A Baltimore County woman is celebrating a $50,000 scratch-off win, which she views as a timely retirement gift. The lucky player, who chose the nickname “Chris,” won the prize on the $10 Ultimate Cash game.
“Chris,” a longtime fan of the Lottery, purchased two Ultimate Cash tickets at a 7-Eleven in Nottingham. After scratching her ticket at home, she was stunned to discover she had won the $50,000 second-tier prize.
“I was in shock, absolutely stunned,” she said after realizing her win. She quickly shared the exciting news with her husband and made an appointment at Lottery headquarters to claim her prize.
With retirement planned for October, “Chris” sees the win as a financial boost for her future. She intends to invest most of the prize in a retirement account and provide financial help to her children.
The winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 8235 Perry Hall Boulevard in Nottingham. The Ultimate Cash game still offers several large prizes, including three top prizes of $100,000 and two more $50,000 prizes.
