WASHINGTON, D.C. — A search is underway for a suspect involved in a shooting that took place in Southeast Washington last Friday. The Metropolitan Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in locating the individual captured on surveillance footage.
The incident occurred on August 30 at approximately 3:18 p.m., when officers responded to reports of a vehicle being struck by a bullet in the 3400 block of 13th Place, Southeast. Upon arrival, officers found evidence of a shooting but did not locate any victims at the scene. Shortly afterward, a man arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound, which was determined to be non-life-threatening. Detectives linked his injury to the incident on 13th Place Southeast.
