BROOKLYN, NY — A shooting on Monday afternoon in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood left one man dead and four others injured. The incident occurred around 2:35 p.m. at 307 Eastern Parkway, within the confines of the 77th Precinct.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found five victims with gunshot wounds. A 69-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to her right shoulder, a 64-year-old man was shot in the right arm, a 36-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the head, a 25-year-old man was shot in the abdomen, and a 16-year-old male had a gunshot wound to his left arm.
EMS personnel transported all five victims to New York City Health and Hospitals/Kings County. Four of the victims are reported to be in stable condition. However, the 25-year-old man, identified as Denzel A. Chan of Spring, Texas, later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
