BALTIMORE, Md. — A 26-year-old man is recovering after being shot on Saturday afternoon in the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road. The incident occurred around 1:35 p.m. when Southern District patrol officers on duty heard gunfire in the area.
Shortly after the shots were fired, officers received a report of a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment at a nearby hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, police found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the body. He is currently listed in stable condition, according to authorities.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting took place on Cherry Hill Road, where the victim was located when he was shot. Southern District Shooting detectives have taken over the investigation and are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
