BALTIMORE, Md. — A stolen vehicle was recovered and a suspect arrested in Baltimore’s Western District on Thursday as part of an ongoing auto theft initiative.
On August 29, members of the Regional Auto Theft Team (RATT) were conducting an operation in the 2500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue when they spotted a 2018 Toyota Camry. The vehicle had been reported stolen on August 28 from the 2300 block of Reisterstown Road.
During the investigation, a 26-year-old male suspect was apprehended. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged in connection with the theft. The stolen vehicle was subsequently returned to its rightful owner.
The operation is part of broader efforts by the Baltimore Police Department to combat auto theft in the city.
