BRONX, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 17-year-old girl who went missing in the Bronx on Wednesday. Teresa Torres, a Hispanic female, was last seen leaving her home within the confines of the 43rd Precinct at approximately 6:00 p.m., according to police reports.
Torres is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a tan shirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers. The circumstances of her disappearance have not been disclosed, and the NYPD has not indicated whether they suspect foul play.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Torres’s whereabouts to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline or visit the Crime Stoppers website.
The search for Torres is ongoing, and the NYPD is continuing to canvass the area and review any potential surveillance footage. Her family has been notified, but they have not issued a public statement at this time.
