REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. — Delaware State Police have arrested two individuals from Salisbury, Maryland, in connection with a series of organized retail thefts at the Tanger Bayside Outlets in Rehoboth Beach. The suspects, 28-year-old Antonio Hunter and 44-year-old Kizzy Holbrook, were taken into custody on Wednesday after allegedly shoplifting from multiple stores.
The incidents began on August 28, 2024, when troopers were called to the Coach Outlet at 36698 Bayside Outlet Drive around 4:57 p.m. Store employees reported that a black male, described as wearing a white shirt, red hat, and red shoes, had stolen a duffle bag. Despite a search of the area, troopers were unable to locate the suspect.
Later that evening, at approximately 7:08 p.m., troopers were again dispatched to the outlets for another shoplifting, this time at the Nike Outlet. Witnesses described the same male suspect, accompanied by a black female wearing a black shirt and dark pants, stealing several items. The suspects were seen leaving the area in a black Toyota Corolla with Delaware registration.
Troopers located the Toyota in the shopping center parking lot and found Kizzy Holbrook inside. She was arrested without incident. Antonio Hunter was apprehended shortly after as he exited the Lids Outlet. A search of the vehicle revealed stolen merchandise from the Coach, Nike, Victoria’s Secret, Lids, and Adidas Outlets, with a total value of approximately $2,293.
Both suspects were transported to Troop 7, where they were charged with multiple counts of theft and other related crimes. The Delaware State Police continue to investigate the incidents as part of broader efforts to combat organized retail theft in the area.
