WALL TWP., N.J. — A Lakewood man employed at the Target store on State Highway 35 was arrested on Tuesday, August 28, 2024, for invasion of privacy, obstruction of the administration of justice, and harassment, following an incident involving a female customer.
According to the Wall Township Police Department, Patrolman Shane Roland conducted an investigation after store management reported that David I. Sutton, 20, had been observed pointing his cell phone up a female customer’s skirt. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, Sutton fled the scene but was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit.
Sutton was processed and released on a summons. The Wall Township Police Department is encouraging anyone who may have been a victim of a similar incident at the Target store to come forward. The department reminds the public that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law, where they are afforded all the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and New Jersey State Law.
