DALLAS, Texas — A Dallas man is in custody following a violent road rage incident that resulted in a 2-year-old girl being shot and seriously injured. The suspect, Jason Cain, 50, faces multiple charges, including three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of intentionally causing serious bodily injury to a child, according to Dallas County jail records.
The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2024, along Sweetwater Drive in east Dallas, near the Forest Hills neighborhood. According to a spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department, the preliminary investigation revealed that Cain fired into a vehicle at the location, striking the young girl. She was immediately taken to a local hospital, where she received treatment and was later released.
As the investigation unfolded, authorities searched Cain’s home and allegedly discovered Nazi imagery and a cache of weapons, further heightening concerns about the suspect’s motives and background.
