STAFFORD, Va. — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office released its daily incident report for August 28, detailing three notable incidents from the previous day.
DUI Arrest Following Minor Collision:
Deputy J.E. Cordes responded to a minor traffic accident on Primmer House Road at 8:02 a.m. on August 27. Upon arrival, the deputy observed signs of intoxication in the at-fault driver.
The victim reported that the driver had discarded a can into a nearby storm drain prior to the deputy’s arrival, which was later identified as a can of Four Loko.
The driver was subsequently charged with driving under the influence, marking his second offense within five years, with a blood alcohol content between .15 and .2. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
Shoplifting Incident at 7-Eleven:
At 7:59 a.m., Deputy S.A. Hensley responded to a larceny report at the 7-Eleven located at 1 Commerce Parkway. Store staff reported that a male suspect, who was familiar to them, had stolen two pairs of sunglasses.
Deputy Hensley quickly located the suspect and recovered the stolen items nearby. The suspect was charged with shoplifting and is currently being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail pending a bond hearing.
Weapon Offense During Road Rage Incident:
Deputy K.F. Bierfeldt was dispatched to the area of Richmond Highway and Washington Drive at 7:49 p.m. following a report of a weapon offense.
The victim claimed they were involved in a road rage incident when the suspect, described as a black male in his mid to late 20s with short black hair, brandished a Taurus firearm. The suspect remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing.
