PHILADELPHIA — A double shooting on Monday evening in North Philadelphia left one man dead and another injured. The incident occurred at approximately 8:12 p.m. on the highway near the 4700 block of North 11th Street.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the first victim, a 41-year-old Black male, was shot multiple times throughout his body. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene at 8:11 p.m. The second victim, an unidentified Black male referred to as “John Doe,” was shot once in the back and transported to Einstein Hospital by a private vehicle. His condition has not been disclosed.
The scene remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made. Police have not recovered any weapons connected to the shooting.
The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation and is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
