Bronx, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred in the Bronx on Saturday. According to police reports, the incident took place at approximately 4:30 p.m. in front of 1917 Andrews Avenue, where a 25-year-old man was shot multiple times.
The victim was standing outside the location when an unknown individual approached and discharged a firearm, striking the man several times throughout his body. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on Andrews Avenue. Emergency Medical Services arrived shortly after and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a male with a slim build, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with dreadlocks, glasses, and partial facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and light-colored sneakers.
The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual involved.
“Anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities,” the New York City Police Department said in a statement.
