BALTIMORE, MD — Two Maryland Lottery players from District Heights and Baltimore took home big prizes on August 21 after winning on THE BIG SPIN scratch-off game.
A District Heights resident, known by the nickname “Jefe,” won $150,000 after spinning the prize wheel at the Maryland Lottery headquarters. Jefe, introduced to the lottery by her boyfriend, plans to use her winnings to expand her catering business. The winning ticket was purchased at Galaxy Food Market in Suitland, earning the store a $1,000 bonus.
In Baltimore, a lifelong resident nicknamed “The Milkman” hit a $125,000 prize. The Milkman, a retired state employee and Army veteran, has been on a lucky streak this year, previously winning $10,000 on another scratch-off. He plans to use his latest winnings to help his family and to create a man cave filled with Ravens memorabilia. The winning ticket was bought at Check Cash Depot in Brooklyn Park, which also received a $1,000 bonus.
Both winners spun a 6-foot-tall prize wheel, part of the unique game-within-a-game feature of THE BIG SPIN. With only two wheel spin prizes remaining, Maryland Lottery fans are eagerly eyeing the remaining opportunities to win big.
