NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a group of individuals wanted in connection with a series of robberies that occurred in the Bronx’s 42nd Precinct on Monday, July 22.
The first incident took place at approximately 8:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Brooke Avenue and East 167th Street. According to police reports, six unidentified individuals exited a black sedan and approached a 16-year-old male victim. Two of the suspects simulated having firearms in their pockets before forcibly taking the victim’s cellphone and sneakers. The suspects then fled on foot, heading eastbound on East 167th Street. No injuries were reported.
The second incident occurred less than two hours later, at approximately 9:50 a.m., in front of 975 Washington Avenue. In this case, a 20-year-old male victim was approached by four unidentified individuals. The suspects forcibly removed the victim’s cellphone and wallet before fleeing on foot, heading southbound on Washington Avenue. As in the first incident, no injuries were reported.
The NYPD has released images of the suspects and is seeking the public’s help in identifying them. “We are asking for assistance in identifying the individuals involved in these incidents,” the NYPD stated.
