CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. — The Prince George’s County Police Department has charged a Washington, D.C. man with the murder of his girlfriend following her death from traumatic injuries earlier this summer.
William Snipes, 65, has been charged with first and second-degree murder in connection with the death of 60-year-old Sharon Moore of Capitol Heights. Moore was transported to a hospital with severe injuries on June 29, 2024, and succumbed to her injuries on July 2, 2024.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined on August 16, 2024, that Moore’s death was caused by multiple blunt force injuries and ruled it a homicide. Following this determination, the Fugitive Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department located and arrested Snipes on the morning of August 21, 2024.
Snipes is currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
