BALTIMORE, Md. — A man has been arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter following the death of a 74-year-old man who was assaulted in Baltimore’s Central District last week.
On August 19, police apprehended 43-year-old Timothy Clinedinst in Dundalk, Baltimore County, in connection with the August 17 assault of David Philpot. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of Eastern Avenue, where Clinedinst allegedly attacked Philpot, leaving him with serious injuries. Philpot was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on August 18.
Philpot’s death was later ruled a homicide by the Medical Examiner’s office. Clinedinst was arrested, debriefed at Baltimore Police headquarters, and subsequently charged with involuntary manslaughter. He is currently being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility.
