ADDISON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Pennsylvania man is in custody after allegedly assaulting his neighbor in what police describe as a violent outburst driven by accusations involving the defendant’s mother.
The incident occurred late Sunday night in Addison Township, a small community within the Johnstown metropolitan area.
Harry Rugg II, 19, has been charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated assault, simple assault, making terroristic threats, harassment, and disorderly conduct, according to Somerset County court records. The charges stem from an altercation in which Rugg allegedly attacked his neighbor, causing significant bodily harm.
Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to a residence on Whites Creek Road following a report of a physical confrontation between two men. Upon arrival, Rugg allegedly admitted to police that he went to his neighbor’s house because he believed the man had engaged in a sexual relationship with his mother.
The nature of the victim’s relationship with Rugg’s mother, or whether one exists, remains unclear.
Rugg is currently being held in custody as the investigation continues.
