WILKES-BARRE, Pa., — A Wilkes-Barre man was arrested Saturday evening following a landlord-tenant dispute in which he allegedly brandished a Taser. The incident occurred on August 17, 2024, at approximately 7:18 p.m. on Bradford Street.
Officers from the Wilkes-Barre Police Department were dispatched to a residence after receiving a report of a verbal altercation between the defendant, identified as 33-year-old Eddie Traver, and a 55-year-old female victim, also from Wilkes-Barre. According to the victim, during the dispute, Traver displayed a Taser and activated it as he walked past her.
During the investigation, officers discovered that Traver had an active warrant for his arrest issued by the Chester County Sheriff’s Department. Traver was taken into custody at the scene and transported to City Headquarters before being transferred to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility (LCCF).
Traver is now facing charges of possession of a prohibited offensive weapon, in addition to the existing warrant.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities gather further details about the incident.
