Baltimore, Md. — A gathering in East Baltimore turned deadly Sunday night when multiple shooters opened fire, killing one man and injuring seven others, according to police.
The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. on the 1300 block of Spring Street, Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley reported. Details about the gathering and the number of suspects remain unclear.
When officers arrived, they found several victims with gunshot wounds who were transported to area hospitals. Additional victims later sought treatment on their own.
Police identified the deceased as 36-year-old Anthony Martin, who was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other victims, all listed in stable condition on Monday, include a 41-year-old woman and six males aged 21 to 46. The investigation is ongoing.
