TRENTON, N.J. — Governor Phil Murphy is set to leave New Jersey once again, just days after returning from a vacation in Italy. This time,
Murphy will be traveling across the country to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris, serving as a surrogate for her presidential bid. Murphy, who leads the “Irish Americans for Kamala Harris” group, will be out of state from the afternoon of Friday, August 16, until Friday, August 23.
During his absence, Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way will serve as Acting Governor.
In addition to his campaign activities, Murphy is reportedly taking steps to revoke the liquor licenses at two of former President Donald Trump’s golf courses in New Jersey.
Since returning from his Italian vacation, Murphy has sparked public interest due to noticeable changes in his physical appearance.
Observers have pointed out that the governor’s face appears swollen and covered with multiple abrasions. Despite the visible changes, the Murphy administration has not provided any comments or explanations regarding the governor’s apparent physical ailments.
Governor Murphy’s upcoming trip has prompted questions about his health, with some New Jersey residents expressing concern over the lack of transparency surrounding his condition. As of now, the administration has remained silent on the matter.
