SHIRLEY, NY — A lucky player in Shirley has won a $1 million second prize in the August 13 Mega Millions drawing.
The winning ticket was purchased at 741 Montauk, located at 741 Montauk Hwy. The ticket matched five out of the six numbers drawn in the game, securing the $1 million prize.
Mega Millions numbers are drawn from a pool of one to 70, with the Mega Ball drawn from a separate pool of one to 25. Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.
